Growing up singing most of my life, music has always been an active creative outlet, especially jazz and swing music from the 1940's. 

By taking the fundamental composition elements

such as improvisation, synthesia and the overall emotional response I have while

singing, this spring/summer collection

truly encompasses "all that jazz"!

My concept of "Embrace the now, enjoy the present" is not only this collection's underlying statement but rather my overall approach to design. Jazz is about individual expression, taking creative risks and above all,

 living in the moment.

The sketchbook is complete with trend research, mood imagery, illustrations, flats and print development.
